Visitation Schedule

Visitation at Butler County Jail is subject to regulations aimed at ensuring the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors. Visitors must comply with all jail rules and may be subject to search. Any violation of visitation policies can result in termination of visitation rights.

Visitor Eligibility

All visitors must be pre-approved by the jail administration. This involves a background check, and certain individuals, such as those with a criminal history or those on probation, may be denied visitation rights.

New Arrestees must be housed in the facility for a minimum of 5 days before being permitted to visit an inmate in the Butler County Jail.

Modest apparel is required for visitors and the jailer has the right to refuse visitation to anyone not following these guidelines.

Anyone under the age of 18 is not permitted without an adult.

Visitation Schedule

Inmate Visitation at the Butler County Jail is held weekly on both Wednesday and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Visitors with pending Drug Charges are Prohibited from visiting, all Visitation Logs are checked after each visit for Visitors with pending Charges. Schedule Wednesday visits on Monday via phone 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Schedule Saturday visits on Friday via phone 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Registration and Identification

Visitors must register in advance for each visit. A valid, government-issued photo ID is required at the time of registration. Minors must be accompanied by an adult, and their identification may also be required.

Conduct During Visitation

Visitors and inmates are expected to maintain appropriate behavior at all times. The use of profanity, loud speech, or any form of disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited. Physical contact between visitors and inmates may be limited or disallowed.

Dress Code for Visitors

Butler County Jail enforces a strict dress code for visitors. Clothing deemed inappropriate, such as revealing or offensive attire, is not allowed. Visitors must adhere to these guidelines to be permitted entry into the visitation area.

Items Allowed and Prohibited

Visitors are generally not allowed to bring personal items into the visitation area, including cell phones, bags, and food. Essential items for infants, such as diapers and formula, may be allowed after inspection.

Special Visits

Under certain circumstances, special visits may be arranged outside the regular visitation schedule. These are typically granted on a case-by-case basis and require approval from the jail administration.

Contact and Non-Contact Visits

Butler County Jail offers both contact and non-contact visits, depending on the inmate's classification and behavior. Contact visits allow limited physical interaction, while non-contact visits occur through a glass partition.

Visitation Termination

The jail reserves the right to terminate a visit at any time due to overcrowding, emergencies, violation of rules, or any behavior deemed inappropriate.
