Personal Property Drop-Off

At the Butler County Jail, specific guidelines are established to regulate the drop-off of personal property for inmates. Personal property must be delivered to jail within 48 hours of booking, see allowed property below. After 48 hours property can be purchased from the commissary.

Items Allowed for Drop-Off

All property must be new and in the original package.

Allowed property:

4 pairs of socks

4 white t-shirts

4 pairs of underwear

2 sets of gray or white sweat suits with no zippers, strings, writing or designs.

1 tablet (no wire)

Clothing

Money

Money for inmates' commissary accounts is often accepted. However, this is usually in the form of money orders or cashier’s checks, not cash.

No one is permitted inside to drop off property.
